AMSTERDAM (Dow Jones)--Wall Street is donderdag met verlies gesloten. De stemming werd gekenmerkt door zorgen over de rente omdat het rendement op de obligatie met een looptijd van 10 jaar op het hoogste punt in vier jaar uitkwam, en vanwege cijfers waaruit blijkt dat het groeitempo van de economie afvlakt. De Dow Jones-index sloot woensdag 0,54% lager op 11.019,11 punten, de S&P-500 daalde 0,53% tot 1.245,60 en de Nasdaq verloor 0,85% tot 2.122,98.

A GM insider forwarded along an incentive program bulletin the General sent out to dealerships this week. The bulletin announces GM's (continued?) intent to push dealers to "form, increase, or maintain service/rental fleets that feature GM vehicles." Ok, that's an interesting thing for a dealership to get into the business of -- one would hope GM would want dealers to be focusing on selling cars rather than random one-off daily rentals. Because we know DaimlerChrysler and Toyota offer a program similar to this, we're not sure if this is new to the General -- or if it's something GM's offered in the past. It's also interesting GM's marketing it as "a companion to the Enterprise program...[where] dealers can choose between the two programs or use both for courtesy transportation purposes." That probably won't make their rental-car offering, fleet-car buying buddies at Enterprise all that happy. Even more interesting are the incentives offered in the bulletin, which we've got the full text of after the jump... ...the vehicles used will provide allowances both when the vehicle is "bought" by the dealer for placement into service -- as well as when it is taken out of rental service to be sold to customers. What are the deals like? Well, how about some astonishing incentives on their new GMT-900's -- $3,500! Gee, and we though GM was getting out of the whole incentive business. O ja, het is juist als je het langer vast zet in een term deposit dat je minder rente krijgt ipv meer, de banken berekenen risico.

9 % is erg veel , als ik 9% rente zou krijgen zou ik het niet op die bank zetten . Je kunt geld krijgen voor veel minder, hoe kan dat dan ? Irene.

hoi jan en annelies wij hebben geld op de bank gehad om ons huis te kopen wij hebben dit gedaan bij de raiffeisenbank je kan daar kiezen hoelang je het geld vast zet wij deden het per maand , wat automatisch iedere maand werd verlengd en kregen daarvoor 4,8 procent per maand je kan ook kiezen voor een kwartaal, half jaar of per jaar hoe langer je het vast zet hoe meer rente je krijgt wat andere banken doen weet ik niet maar voor ons was dit erg gunstig groetjes frank
