Internet phone software and hardware

The cheapest way to make calls using our service is by using a so-called SIP client. This can be software that runs on your PC or hardware that you plugin to your home network.

You don't need any technical software or hardware setup if you don't want, you can always use the callback feature from our login pages.

There are many (free) software programs available, many of them offer a free and a professional version, any of them should be more dan sufficient to make normal calls.
Please note that sound quality depends a lot on your audio devices, we recommend a proper headset above speakers and a microphone to prevent echo.

Installation instructions

To setup a 'softphone' program or 'hardphone' adapter or phone these guidelines would normally work:

1. Go to configuration, settings, options or accounts
2. Add a SIP account, lookup the next two details in your account pages on our website.
3. For the user name or login name use the Card ID we sent you by e-mail.
4. For the password or 'secret' use the password we sent you by e-mail.
5. For the domain or proxy use sip.ultivoice.com
6. Save the settings, go back to the main page and enter the phone number you would like to call without leading zero's or plus signs.
